Chloe completed her first year of Farm School! One more to go before entering Kindergarten. We celebrated with her classmates at a picnic on the farm. Chloe showed off her new skills and Annalise fell in love with the kittens.
We have spent lots of time at local parks meeting friends or just having a family day.
Chloe got to go with a friend to gymnastics on a "bring a friend" night. She really enjoyed it and I realized that I need to enroll her in some sort of tumbling/gymnastic/dance class. She is always performing for us.
We have been out on our boat quite a bit this year. Annalise is older, of course, but still a bit of a challenge. She really enjoys trying to climb overboard. As a result, we often find ourselves "beaching it" somewhere so she can run in the sand.
Memorial Day kicked off the first of 3 parades for us so far this year. That reminds me - when did the princess floats gets so, ahem, obnoxious? What happened to the mechanical wave? Now they are borderline dirty dancing to thumping music...what would Cinderella say? I am not that conservative, but geez...I just hope Chloe isn't taking too many notes.
We have attended several birthday parties - what a fun time of year to have a party! We have all had more than our share of cake - yum! The pictures below are from nephew Aidan's party.
Keith and his brother Brian ran a half marathon! They were smiling at the end, so I took that as a great sign. Both have done half and full marathons before but never together. It was fun to be up in Duluth to watch. One of these days I'll get my rear in gear again...
Grandpa Teddy Bear bought the grandkids a gator to use up at the cabin. Oh what fun they have with that! If Chloe's current way of driving is any indication of her future driving...we need to work on a few things - like watching the road instead of giving the mechanical princess wave!
We have had a few storms this year that were a little scary...some included dinner by candlelight.
We made it up to the cabin this year for the 4th of July with Keith's whole family. We enjoyed saunas, swimming, picnics, kayaking, a parade, fireworks, etc... We did not enjoy Annalise's sudden dislike for sleep and the protests that come with that. :)
Hope you have had a fabulous summer so far! I am feeling somewhat caught up on this blog, so now if I can just keep on top of it moving forward...wish me luck!
Love the marching band photo! ;)
