Catch me if you can

We moved into our house three years ago this month.  I'll never forget that year.  Chloe was born in January and when we brought her home from the hospital, the only thought to cross our minds was "what are we supposed to do with this little bird?"  There were many rough days and nights ahead as a result of Chloe's extreme dislike for naps and evenings, among other things, so Keith and I often gave each other "breaks" to regroup.  Mine were usually trips to Target and Keith's happened to be visits to Parade of Home models.  He came home one day in February and said "let's build another house."  Ummm, what?  Isn't one major life change enough for one year?  In all fairness to Keith, I fell in love with the model and am so happy we're here, but looking back - what the H were we thinking?!  I blame the percocet from my c-section for my lack of thinking on this one.  :)

Anyway, so after a double move, we finally moved into our new house in August.  Within days of moving in, Chloe started crawling.  And for some unknown reason, I have pushed it out of mind how crazy life gets when that happens!  The reason I bring this up is that Annalise started crawling a few weeks ago and hasn't stopped moving since.  Last weekend she mastered standing (while holding onto something) as well as climbing up the stairs.  I can't let her out of my sight for a millisecond...which means my chores and projects have been put on hold indefinitely.  I'm now too busy guiding her away from disaster.  She also popped her 7th tooth last Friday.  This time around is going so fast!  She is getting bigger and stronger and faster by the hour, I swear.

Here is a youtube video clip of the the little miss showing off her new skills:

Here is an older video I found that just makes me smile.  Listen for the "know it all" in the background.

PS - I need some advice from you other bloggers out there (Judy, Emily, Hannah) on how to upload videos.  Please and thank you!

  1. Hi! :) Yay for the crawler. And 7 teeth! Wow!!

I can't see the links because the videos are private. :(

Also...to get the videos to show up, once you are on your youtube video page, over on the right there is some html code that says "embed". Copy it, then paste it in the html edited screen when you are composing a post. (click right next to where it says compose). If I remember correctly, it won't show up on your compose screen, but it will show up when you publish the post!

  2. Crawling? Already? I guess you can skip your gym workouts for a few years!

BTW I really like posting videos directly; it's very easy, but then I don't know anything about Youtube at all. I hope you can figure out my email. Hugs.

  4. Hi lady - I haven't posted video yet so am not much help. Emily advice helps me too. :) I've embedded some other things via the HTML code but it usually takes some "re-dos" to get it right. Let me know if you learn any other good tips.

  5. Love your new blog spot and love the title. Fun to see how much better Annalise has gotten to climbing stairs after watching her climb those 2 stairs at the cabin. Keep sending those cute photos of the kids. Love, Gramma Jane and Grampa Teddy Bear
