After playtime, the kids went outside to feed the animals. There were ice cream pails of food sitting out. The kids got to pick one and the picture on the pail told them which animal they needed to feed. Chloe got to feed Woody the goat. It was all giggles as Woody licked food out of her hand.
This school is amazing. It is a farm set on a beautiful piece of land. They have cows, horses, chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, kittens (that were born on Monday) ... I am sure that I am forgetting something. In addition to the typical preschool curriculum, the kids spend half of the classtime taking care of the animals and gardens, going on hikes, riding ponies, swinging on the tree swing, climbing the hayloft and more. Ahhhh...makes me want to be a kid again.
After our short orientation day, we joined some neighbors (including her buddy Louis who is in her class) for lunch to celebrate the first day. We spent the rest of the day shopping and enjoying our time together. We don't get to be alone too often so as Chloe said "it was a special mommy and chloe day".
Before signing off tonight, I have a little pop quiz for you ... what do you think we had for dinner? And for extra credit, who do you think enjoyed it the most? ;)
Good night!

Love the pink shoes! Looks like Annalise was trying to make her bib match her shirt...would it be Pasketti? (Great fingerpainting potential, I'd say.) Hugs.
ReplyDeleteYou got it - pasketti...well actually ravioli with spaghetti sauce. This happens every meal! Chloe was bald until age 2 so I never had the hair problem before. :)
