What else have we been up to? Well, we have been doing some typical "fall stuff".
We had a fun Halloween as you can see by the photos in my previous post. We have a progressive Halloween party in our neighborhood every year. This year, there were 5 stops and almost 90 people! Each stop had a spooky/gross (looking) app, a sweet, an adult beverage, a kid/non-alcoholic beverage and an activity. We hosted one of the stops this year and our menu was "Puking Pumpkin" (dip coming out of the mouth of a pumpkin), "Spaghetti Cupcakes" (made entirely of sweets - and fun to make!), "Bloody Marys" (self-explanatory), and "Magic Potion" (assorted 2L beverages with new labels - bat blood, swamp water, etc...). We are lucky to have such a fun neighborhood!
Fall also brings a certain someone's birthday - actually the only member of our family who wasn't born in January (well, besides Norton). Miss Annalise turned TWO! And believe me, she gave us several month's warning. ;) She is a feisty, determined, independent little girl. When she doesn't like something, she definately lets us know! She is also one of the sweetest, funniest, caring kids I know. This especially comes out when she is taking care of one of her babies. Annalise has been sleeping in a toddler bed now for almost 3 months. This little one has always enjoyed going to bed, but sleeping through the night is for the birds in her mind. Mom and Dad are begging for uninterrupted sleep one of these nights. Annalise has a great vocabulary...big sis is helping with that. And speaking of big sis, there is no one better to love...and fight. There are more squeals and shrieks in our house right now, it's no wonder that daddy has been working more. :0). Now the real "fun" begins...potty training!
I can't get over Annalise's pigtails!!! So long...so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing your photos, Jill. Your girls are growing up way too fast! We had snow here, too; only here the whole city pretty much shuts down...
ReplyDeleteShe looks so big in these photos! Any luck getting sound out of that harmonica yet??
