Easter Weekend 2011

We are definitely coming down from a weekend sugar high!  Three egg hunts, two easter dinners, and one birthday party later...it's no wonder we are all feeling a bit tired today. We sure had lots of fun though!

Saturday morning kicked off with a neighborhood easter egg hunt.  This has become a tradition in our neighborhood and the kids love it.  This year a certain Easter bunny in charge of the toddler hunt (ahem, ME) put off stuffing the eggs until late on Friday night.  The first bag of candy that I opened almost caused a minor heart attack.  Why, you ask?  Well, the Smarties did NOT fit in the plastic eggs.  Crap. And then I looked at the next bag of candy - Kit Kats -  and started to hyperventilate.  Who would have thought to test out if the candy fits?   Yeah, probably everyone but me.  Long story short, it worked out - it's a good thing that I had other options.  :)

On Saturday afternoon, we planted jelly beans.  Yep, that's right - jelly beans.

 
Do you know that when you plant jelly beans they grow into this overnight?  Yeah, pretty cool.

We had lots of fun visiting with family on Sunday.  It was a beautiful sunny day - something we haven't had in awhile.  Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!
