I have a 4 year old.

Chloe celebrated her 4th birthday a few weeks ago in true Barbie and Strawberry Shortcake fashion.  She was indecisive about which theme we should go with, so we went with both!  She selected the "perfect" outfit to wear for the party we had with family and friends, and she had so much fun that she is still talking about it today.

Chloe is becoming a big girl before my eyes.  Her vocabulary and understanding of the world around her amazes me every day.  She is smart, spunky, silly, sensitive, caring, thoughtful, and the list goes on.  Every day brings a new word ("disgusting" was yesterday's word), a new achievement, a new idea...as much as I want her to stop growing up so quickly, I can't wait to see what each new day brings.

Right now, Chloe loves to put on dance recitals and leap and twirl.  She loves pink and princesses, but she really loves Barbies.  She makes a new necklace just about every day and she could listen to the fairy tales of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White 20 times in a row and never tire of it.  She has the best imagination and can make up a game or story with anything.

Chloe has an exciting year ahead of her!  We have plans to learn how to ice skate and maybe ski (Keith's wish) yet this winter.  She will be a flower girl in her Auntie Leanne's wedding along with her cousin in March.  This summer she will get to learn how to ride her new bike and next fall she will be the "big" kid at farm school.

I love you Birdie.

  1. Looks like a lovely party, Jill. And talk about growing up fast, Annalise has surely changed since last June. It will be so fun to see all the little cousins together next month. Maybe Sophia will be willing to walk the aisle in April?

  2. If you think the changes in Chloe are fun, watch out for Annalise! I think you have a future Rock Star on your hands. ;)
